Ogilvy Brisbane executive CD Phil Nobay departs to focus on his creative consultancy Philler
After two years as executive creative director of Ogilvy Brisbane Phil Nobay has left to focus on his creative consultancy, Philler, which he launched back in 2011.
Says Nobay, who joined Ogilvy in August 2016: “I’ve teamed up with shining stars in brand strategy and content creation, to partner with clients that value the more agile consulting model. I leave Ogilvy on good terms and wish them the best of luck.”
Before Ogilvy, Nobay was creative director of Brisbane digital agency Publicis Pusher. He has also held following senior roles at Clemenger BBDO, EuroRSCG and McCann-Erickson, TBWA\GGT, Wunderman Y&R and Grey in London.

Better to leave at your terms than face the latest trend of lay-offs at Sydney and Melbourne.

We can finally start working.
Most sensible decision Ogilvy has made in years.
Too late, all the talent and clients are already gone…
“Filler is material of lower cost or quality that is used to fill a certain television time slot or physical medium, such as a musical album.”
He’s a great guy, but probably not the right man for the role – maybe a CD. But still, all the best mate, you’re one of the nicest guy in the industry.
Totally underrated as a creative. He has kept clients with his work. Tries harder than anyone and is nicer than most.
Took you long enough Ogilvy.
Hang on Honest…your post is a bit much. I think you’re nice (please like me), all the best (because I am nice) but you are maybe a CD (because I know these things). Put your name to that post you piss-weak human.
There’s something seriously toxic going on at this agency. They need to rethink how they’re doing things and start again because frankly they’re becoming a laughing stock. 99% of creatives wouldn’t go near the place as it is.
Why so angry at a random person’s comment bro?
Why are you so bitter and angry bro?
Wow, Rich.. Nobay got you fired, didn’t he?
There’s alot of sad jaded people commenting here. All the best Phil with your new venture, ignore the shit talking anonymous commenters.
If he was such a great guy, shouldn’t everyone just be wishing him well?
No mention of awards or accolades.
