DSC02171 (1).jpgElectric Dreams has unveiled new websites to push separate identities for the two distinct arms of its business. Going forward, Electric Dreams Agency will provide music and sound for brands and advertising, and Electric Dreams Studio will provide the same for television, games, film and art.

Founded by screen composer Cornel Wilczek in 2009, Electric Dreams has established a reputation as a leading music production company in Australia, producing original music for over 540 ads for brands globally. Its advertising awards include Cannes Lions, LIA and Award Awards, and the composer-led company is well-known for combining award-winning expertise, experience, innovation and creativity.

SDSC02105_amend (1).jpgays Cornel Wilczek, composer and founder: “Electric Dreams’ roots are in advertising and we wanted to separate the brand to give the advertising arm new impetus and a refreshed structure and management.”

In recent years Electric Dreams’ composition services have been in demand for long-form projects like the TV series Glitch, Offspring and Nowhere Boys, as well as film, documentary and multimedia projects such as sound installations for cultural institutions NGV and ACMI.

IMG_2147.jpgElectric Dreams Agency bears a new logo and features an expanded roster of composers comprising both established and fresh talent. It is led by Jeanette Little fromIMG_2149.jpg award-winning London-based music production company Goldstein.

Says Jeanette Little, executive producer, Electric DreamsED team1.jpg Agency: “I am thrilled to be working with such an experienced team of quality composers and sound engineers. The Agency consists of an expanded roster of international composers, which will enable us to workIMG_2157.jpg faster and pursue new growth opportunities in regions such as Asia Pacific. We compose in virtually every musical genre and we want to have the right team for every project.”

The Electric Dreams Studio will continue to develop its long-form division and establish itself as a hub for creativity and collaboration. Leyla Varela joins Electric Dreams Studio from Australian musicIMG_2160.jpg publisher Gaga Music.

The Studio works at a pace different from the Agency, and allows for deeper creative engagement and experimentation.

Says Leyla Varela, executive producer of Electric Dreams Studio: “Our physical studioIMG_2165.jpg space is a huge part of what makes the studio so special. Over the past 9 years we’ve realised the space is quite unique as it offers the advantages of a full recording studio setup whilst also operating as a music house. Full brass sections are welcome as much as VO artists and production meetings. Our core team’sIMG_2168.jpg musical abilities cover a wide range of instruments; from theremin to vibraphone, and synth to thumb piano.”

Last week, Electric Dreams teamed up with good friends Level Two Music and Kobalt Music to celebrate the launch at Min-a-noi in Melbourne, which included performances by Ziggy Alberts & Angie McMahon.IMG_2169 (2).jpg
