Attracting major buzz with media and chocolate lovers nationwide, KitKat Gold is a world-first limited edition creation featuring crisp wafer fingers covered in a creamy golden white choc for a deliciously caramelised break.

To celebrate its arrival, Nestlé and HWBK launched Australia’s first-ever Edible KitKat Gold Chocolate Wall last week. Built by activation partner, Banter, the giant KitKat Gold wall popped up in Martin Place, Sydney on 30 August, with thousands of fans flocking down to grab one of 8,000 bars straight from the wall. And those in Melbourne got to enjoy a delicious break when the installation arrived at Southern Cross Station on 3 September, before heading to New Zealand next.

Says Anna Stewart, head of marketing confectionery, Nestlé: “We’re thrilled to introduce KitKat Gold, and excited to be able to delight Aussies with this campaign. The response we’ve had from consumers and their engagement with our incredible KitKat Gold wall has been overwhelmingly positive, and we could not have asked for better partners to work with on this.”

HWBK founder, Emma-Jane (EJ) Granleese, said the agency was excited to sink their teeth into the KitKat Gold campaign, and help drive massive demand while bringing the flavour release to life in an exciting new way.

Says Granleese: “Working as the PR agencyhere has been a fantastic opportunity for us to demonstrate our ability to harness the power of storytelling across multiple touchpoints, driving conversation and creating cultural currency. A real moment in history for KitKat.”

HWBK was recently recognised in the Cannes Lions 2018 Global Creativity Report and is proudly part of a five-agency collective, the Deepend Group – an independent, digital communications and innovation consultancy group. The portfolio includes Deepend (Digital), How To Impact (Innovation), Nomad (Emerging Tech), History Will Be Kind (Communications) and VERSA (Australia’s first enterprise level Voice Experience agency) delivered in partnership with RAIN.
