Spikes Asia 2018: Host/Havas, BWM Dentsu, Y&R Melbourne and Cummins&Partners/Revolver/Will O’Rourke score Grand Prix Awards for Australia

Palau-Hero-PASSPORT-A_1920x1080.jpgSpikes Asia has just wrapped up its winners presentation in Singapore and Australia has had a huge night, scoring a massive nine Grand Prix awards.

Host/Havas Sydney dominated the night with its ‘Palau Pledge’ campaign for PalauStopTheHorror.jpg Legacy Project earning five Grand Prix awards in the Integrated, Direct, Design, PR and Media categories.

Cummins&Partners Sydney and Revolver/Will O’Rourke picked up the Film Craft Grand Prix for Go Gentle Australia ‘Stop The Horror’, which also went onto claim the Grand Prix for Good.

BWM Dentsu Sydney scored the Innovation Grand Prix for The ALS Association’s ‘Project Revoice’ (with NAKATOMI and Haystac Sydney).

Y&R Melbourne won the Healthcare Grand Prix for Monash University ‘Sip Safe’.

Integrated

Host/Havas has scored the Grand Prix for Palau Legacy Project ‘Palau Pledge’ (with Red Agency). Leo Burnett Melbourne scored Australia’s only Silver Spike in the Integrated category.

The Innovation category saw BWM Dentsu score a Grand Prix for The ALS Association ‘Project Revoice’ (with NAKATOMI and Haystac Sydney). Deloitte AustraliaSip Safe.jpg secured an Innovation Spike for Prince of Wales Hospital ‘Lucy’.

Healthcare

Y&R Melbourne scored the Healthcare Grand Prix for Monash University, ‘Sip Safe’. BWM Dentsu scored three Bronze Spikes for The ALS Association ‘Project Revoice’.

Grand Prix for Good

The Grand Prix for Good went to Cummins&Partners Sydney and Revolver/Will O’Rourke for Go Gentle Australia ‘Stop The Horror’.

Glass

DDB Sydney scored one of three Glass Spikes, known as the award for change, for Carefree ‘The Matriarchs’.

Film

In Film Cummins&Partners Sydney / Revolver/Will O’Rourke picked up Australia’s only Gold. Silver Spikes went to Revolver/Will O’Rourke and Droga5 New York and CHE Proximity. Bronze went to DDB Sydney/EXIT Films, BMF Sydney/Goodoil Films and J. Walter Thompson/Luscious International.

Film Craft

Cummins&Partners Sydney and Revolver/Will O’Rourke scored the Film Craft Grand Prix for Go Gentle Australia ‘Stop The Horror’. Gold Spike winners in Film Craft were Revolver/Will O’Rourke/Cummins&Partners Sydney for Go Gentle Australia ‘Stop The Horror’ and Blackbird/Leo Burnett Melbourne for Honda ‘The Joy of Moving You’. Silver winners were ARC EDIT for Go Gentle Australia ‘Stop The Horror’ and Scoundrel Sydney/DDB NZ for Lotto NZ ‘Armoured Truck’. Alt.VFX scored three Silver Spikes for Toyota NZ ‘Drive Happy’ via Saatchi & Saatchi NZ, Tile ‘Lost Panda’ via Deutsch LA and Westpac ‘Help. It’s What Australians Do’ via DDB Sydney and a Bronze Spike for Tile ‘Lost Panda’.  DDB Sydney scored six Bronze Spikes for Westpac ‘Help. It’s What We Do’ via EXIT Films, two for Westpac ‘Frank’ via Level Two Music/NAKATOMI and three for Westpac ‘Westpac 200’.

Entertainment

PHD Sydney and SketchShe scored a Gold Spike in the Entertainment category for Canesten ‘Thrush – The Musical’. TKT Sydney picked up one Silver Spike and Revolver/Will O’Rourke/Cummins&Partners Sydney scored a Bronze.

Direct

Host/Havas, Sydney scored the Grand Prix in Direct for Palau Legacy Project ‘Palau Pledge’ (with Red Agency) as well as one Gold Spike. CHE Proximity picked up a Silver and four Bronze Spikes.

Digital

Australia scored three Gold Spikes in Digital. Golds went to CHE Proximity for Carsales.com.au ‘AutoAds’, Cummins&Partners Sydney/Revolver/Will O’Rourke for Go Gentle ‘Stop The Horror’ and BWM Dentsu Sydney for The ALS Association for ‘Project Revoice’. BWM Dentsu also scored two Silvers and a Bronze. TKT Sydney was awarded a Silver and a Bronze. CHE Proximity picked up four Bronze Spikes in the category. Clemenger BBDO Sydney scored two Bronze Spikes and whiteGREY, We Are Social and Deloitte Australia scored one Bronze apiece.

Digital Craft

In Digital Craft, BWM Dentsu Sydney scored the only Gold Spike for Australia for The ALS Association for ‘Project Revoice’, which also scored a Bronze. McCann Melbourne scored a Silver Spike and CHE Proximity scored a Bronze.

Design

Host/Havas Sydney has secured the Design Grand Prix for Palau Legacy Project ‘Palau Pledge’. J. Walter Thompson picked up a Silver Spike and Bronze Spikes went to Y&R Melbourne, M&C Saatchi/Tricky Jigsaw and McCann Melbourne.

CHE Proximity has picked up one of only three Creative Effectiveness Spikes for Velocity Frequent Flyer ‘The Billion Point Giveaway’.

Brand Experience

Host/Havas Sydney won a Gold and a Silver Spike in Brand Experience for Palau Legacy Project ‘Palau Pledge’ (with Red Agency). CHE Proximity has taken home one Bronze in the category.

PR

In the PR category Red Agency and Host/Havas Sydney scooped the Grand Prix as well as one Gold Spike for Palau Legacy Project ‘Palau Pledge’.

Outdoor

CHE Proximity is the only Aussie agency to pick up metal in the Outdoor category. The agency has scored a Gold and Bronze for Swann Insurance ‘Inconvenience Stores’.

Mobile

BWM Dentsu Sydney secured a Gold, Silver and a Bronze in the Mobile category for Queensland Police ‘Disappearing Person Alerts’. Deloitte Australia and whiteGREY scored one Bronze each.

Media

The Media category saw Host/Havas Sydney pick up another Grand Prix for Palau Legacy Project ‘Palau Pledge’ (with Red Agency). Silver Spikes went to CHE Proximity Melbourne/UM Sydney, Y&R Melbourne, PHD Sydney/Isobar APAC, McCann Sydney/Carat Sydney, Clemenger BBDO Sydney/UM Sydney and Cummins&Partners Melbourne/Revolver/Will O’Rourke. CHE Proximity scored two Bronze Spikes and BWM Dentsu Melbourne/Vizeum Sydney and PHD Sydney scored one Bronze each.
