Spinach launches first creative campaign for Jalna Dairy Foods since winning the account

Jalna1.jpgSpinach has launched the first creative work for Jalna Dairy Foods.

Following a competitive pitch, Spinach was awarded the creative account for the family-owned business which is famous for its unique manufacturing process that sees the yoghourt individually pot set, free of any additives.

The 30-second spot follows a group of boisterous schoolchildren visiting Jalna's farm near Echuca in Victoria where the brand employs biodynamic farming principles to produce milk that goes into its biodynamic, organic yoghourt.

Says Frank Morabito, executive creative director at Spinach: "It was such a delight working with the Jalna management, marketing and dairy farm teams to bring the long-standing theme, 'A little pot of purity', to life in a new and engagingJalna3.jpg way. Special mention goes to the enthusiastic local primary school kids who proved to be sensational actors."

Says Garry Mudford, GM of Jalna: "We're excited to unveil this delightful campaign that beautifully highlights the production process of our little pots of purity. It has been a pleasure to work with Spinach on this first execution - Frank and the team have perfectly captured the essence of the brand."

The campaign will be supported by a media spend of around $2 million, mostly across free-to-air television.

The brand has completely lost its personality with this work. The previous campaign was different for the category and very distinctive ....why would you walk away from that?

You fat shamed a school kid. I know the kid is white and male but it still shouldn't be acceptable.

Is this a 1950's school excursion video that teaches white city kids where white milk comes from?
And lo-and-behold it comes from cows!!! Who would have thought? And milk makes yogurt. Gee wiz.
And it makes everything better. In that case I'll do my make-up with it.

I wonder why there's no writer/AD credits.

Hardly surprised, everyone knows that yoghurt and spinach are a terrible combination.
