Blue_Ribbon_Day_2 (1).jpgDPR&Co has launched a powerful campaign for the Victoria Police’s Blue Ribbon Foundation, which this year commemorates 30 years of remembering police officers killed in the line of duty.

Blue Ribbon Day, which was held in Victoria on September 29th, coinciding with National Police Remembrance Day, raises much-needed funds for the creation of ‘Living Memorials’ for the fallen police officers. These memorials take the form of emergency medical facilities that bear the names of the fallen officer.

The 2018 campaign marks 30 years of the Blue Ribbon Foundation, and 30 years of remembering the 159 police officer lives lost in the line of duty in Victoria.

Produced with the assistance of Powerhouse Productions, the campaign has been supported by donated media space including train wraps, newspaper ads and billboards, coordinated by Dentsu X.

Says Phil Huzzard, principle, DPR&Co, who also serves on the Blue Ribbon Day Council: “Each year we look forward to the opportunity to bolster awareness around this amazing cause. Funds raised have helped to create 53 living memorials, including the Mark Bateman Memorial Helipad at Portland Hospital, honouring Senior Constable Bateman who died with his colleague while responding to an emergency call. We are proud to support such a worthy cause.”
