Kohbe Head Shot (1).jpgAfter an extended growth period, The Taxi Group – consisting of Taxi Film Production, Traffic Film, Tasty Pictures and Welcome Fiji – has recently appointed Kohbe Vela to the newly created role of general manager.

Vela brings to the role a wealth of agency production experience, having left the role of head of broadcast and content production at Y&R AUNZ earlier this year, a position she held for over a decade.

Says Vela: “Having worked alongside Taxi’s directors and producers in one way or another for the past 15 years, there’s already a strong sense of camaraderie and respect, which I can’t wait to build upon.

“With my agency background, I feel I can offer a different perspective to the business and I’m looking forward to getting my hands dirty and maximising opportunities for the business and our clients.

“I loved agency land, but I’m keen to peel back the layers and get back to the core of why I got into this business to begin with.”

Executive producer and managing director of The Taxi Group, Andrew Wareham is excited to have Vela on board and is looking forward to watching Vela bring her own flair to The Taxi Group’s offerings.

Says Wareham: “I have always admired Kohbe’s work in the field, and when the opportunity came to bring a General Manager on board Kohbe was the obvious fit.

“Her experience, demeanour and energy are a great benefit to The Taxi Group – it’s the final piece to the puzzle for driving our business into a very exciting future.”
