PastedGraphic-1.jpgSydney based design studio, M35, has been invited to collaborate with Nike Running USA, to create a strategically led brand project that helps reconnect Nike Running with its challenger roots.

Designed to inform future brand campaigns in global markets, the project with Nike and M35 is a rare design collaboration for Nike Running USA, with M35 selected from a range of global competition to partner on the unique project.

Working in collaboration with Nike Portland’s design team, M35 conducted an integrated visual system and range of R&D designed to help the Nike brand reconnect with its challenger roots, including graphic language, typography, sub brands, logo usage, colour, material usage and art direction.

PastedGraphic-2.jpgSays Jamie Mitchell, founder/director, M35: “Being invited to help inform the next chapter of an iconic brand like Nike Running was a real privilege. Creating the work was a fun and very high pacedPastedGraphic-3.jpg process that we all learned a lot from.”

M35 is an independent studio and part of a new generation of strategic design consultancies.

The studio’s approach is shaped by the mix of international experience on the team, with recent projects including an integrated brand refresh for Google’s elite business solutions unit Google Zoo, working with one of Japan’s largestPastedGraphic-4.jpg homebuilders, Sekisui House, to launch their parkview residential precinct in Sydney’s south west, and creating a motion first identity system for the Australian Film Television Radio School (AFTRS).
