The Brand Agency, Perth promotes GM Nick Bayes to the role of managing director

Bayes has been with the agency since joining as a group account director in 2005, and has been general manager since May 2016.

Brand chairman Steve Harris said that Bayes had done an outstanding job leading the business, and that the promotion was an indication of his role and seniority in the organisation.

Says Harris: “Nick has driven growth and diversification in our Perth business, and has been a big part of our transformation over the past three years. He has a strong vision as to where our industry and marketing communications are heading and he is steering us there ahead of the market.

“He combines vision and leadership with the sort of hands-on approach that has been part of our culture for over a quarter of a century. He understands the changing world of communications and knows how to run a hundred-person business.

“Nick is the Agency’s third managing director in 27 years. He is a great example of building and delivering leadership from within a business. We’re proud to have a depth of talent that allows an internal appointment.”

Bayes said he was pleased to take on the role, but that he didn’t intend to change his focus on the success of the agency’s clients and staff.

Says Bayes: “Taking on the role of MD is the next step in my career at the agency and it’s one I am very much looking forward to. However, it won’t change my unwavering focus on our clients and the success of their business. We now have, what I believe to be the best team assembled at the agency and we’ll keep adding to it, by continuing to bring together specialists from all areas of communications. It’s an exciting time to be at The Brand Agency and the future is set to be even more so.”

The Brand Agency is Perth’s largest and most successful advertising and communications business, with 98 staff. It is the current Campaign Brief WA Agency of the Year. The agency is part of the WPP AUNZ Group.
