EMAIL - The Portalist Email Invitation - OFFICIAL.jpgAustralian filmmaker and visual artist Tim Georgeson will hold a screening of his latest film ‘The Portalist’ on Friday, December 7 at the Deus Ex Machina Headquarters and will premiere on Nowness.com.

This hypnotic journey follows Tokyo native Satoshi on his vintage motorbike through the city’s streets at night. At turns mystical and haunting, The Portalist takes us through a portal in time, space and feeling that we didn’t know existed.

Georgeson’s film direction is surreal and imaginative–he crosses the genres of film and photography by merging found moments with fine art. His experience shooting in war zones, rock concerts and on the streets of the world has given him unique insights into the human condition to be that rare creative force that will push boundaries in a time of digital change and media free-fall. His reputation for creating emotionally stirring work has been celebrated in the media, the arts and the commercial world with multiple World Press Photo Awards, Leica Camera and advertising awards, and by inclusion in private and museum art collections internationally and represented by Olsen gallery in Australia.

Georgeson’s commercial film directing work is produced in Los Angeles by Ben Knott at World Wide Mind.
