Initiative Perth has expanded its senior management team with appointments to lead the recently won Lotterywest portfolio, as well as a new head of digital. The appointments follow major account wins by Initiative Perth that underpin the agency’s most successful year in the WA market.

Ricardo Carreira (far left) joins Initiative Perth as head of digital following five years in senior digital marketing positions at Optus in Sydney. He brings important client-side experience to Initiative, as well as extensive digital marketing, technology and data analytics capabilities.

Vikki Stacy (centre) has been appointed to lead the Lotterywest account, one of Western Australia’s largest communications portfolios, with Initiative’s appointment to Lotterywest formally announced on November 13. A highly respected and experienced media practitioner with a 30-year career, Stacy was previously with content agency Medium Rare.

In a record year for Initiative Perth, the agency has won a place on the Western Australian Government’s media roster, the Lotterywest business, several other WA assignments and been awarded as WA’s Media Agency of the Year.

Head of Initiative Perth, Luke O’Sullivan (above right), said agency staff numbers were up 33% on last year, in parallel to specific investments in digital and data capabilities to elevate the quality of client work.

“It’s been a great year for us, built upon the quality of people and teamwork,” said O’Sullivan. “Both Vikki and Ricardo are the finest quality media executives and it’s important to attract this calibre of professionals and leaders to continue our momentum.”
