Gaysorn Thavat Portrait.jpeg.jpgAs part of a regular series with Free The Bid Australia, Campaign Brief shines the spotlight on top female commercials directors in Australia and New Zealand...

Gaysorn is a director at EXIT Films.

Three best spots:
TSB Bank 'Between the Flags'
Holden 'Go back A Ways'

Heralding from a background in camera Gaysorn's visual style has a refreshing playful flavour, while her eye for performance is highly intuitive, sensitive and evident in much of her work.
In 2009 Gaysorn won a Gold Film Lion at Cannes for her Breast Cancer Research TVC and her black comedy short BRAVE DONKEY (2009) played at festivals across Europe, North America, Australasia and Asia winning best actor awards for Cameron Rhodes. She is currently developing a feature film with NZ writer Sophie Henderson.

Says Gaysorn: "I enjoy exploring different mediums and genres. From narrative and performance to animation,  directed spots for Indeed, Nokia, Disney, Holden among many others."
