WhiteGREY snares former TBWA Melbourne executive partner Katie Firth for national MD role
WhiteGREY has appointed highly experienced leader and strategic marketer Katie Firth to the newly created position of national managing director, based in Melbourne.
Most recently executive partner at TBWA\Melbourne, Firth brings more than 17 years’ experience across marketing, PR, events and activations, and advertising to the new role, teamed with a strong background in key sectors including automotive, travel and tourism, energy, financial services and insurance.
During her stellar career, she has worked at leading agencies including Cummins&Partners (as client services director), Publicis Mojo, TBWA, and CHE Proximity. She has also worked on some of the biggest brands in the country including Medibank, Jeep, Origin, ANZ, EnergyAustralia, Nissan, Mars, Tourism Victoria, and Tourism WA.
whiteGREY CEO Lee Simpson said as part of her role Firth will join the national executive team, tasked with leading and growing the Melbourne agency. However, as part of her newly formed national MD role, Firth will also work closely with whiteGREY Sydney, helping the entire agency deliver across its key operational pillars.
Firth starts with whiteGREY on January 14. Her appointment follows the recent resignation of whiteGREY Melbourne MD Claudia McInerney, who is leaving the agency to move states for family reasons.

She’ll need every ounce of experience from her “stellar career” to keep her CEO and his Sydney sycophants in check. Another “yes” person appointment?
Katie will need to work closely with Sydney to get her work done, as there isn’t any resource left at whiteGREY in Melbourne.
You miserable pricks.
Congratulations, Katie.
Are we all become so hateful and bitter that we cant congratulate someone on a step-up into a new role?
Congratulations Katie.
She’ll be great in that role. Congratulations, Katie. Well deserved.
Ok…not too thrilled with my sisters in arms here.
There are far too many women not sticking at roles that they apsire to. We yearn for leadership, god knows why, and look really flaky when they leave. It’s happening
with glaring regularity.
Katie is a gun. She’ll do a cracking job leading the Melbourne agency. Great appointment Lee!
Good luck Katie but….. keep your eyes and ears wide open. There’s every chance Grey will be folded into another WPP brand if things don’t improve quickly.
Excellent hire for an agency going from strength to strength. Expecting big things in the coming year.

If you don’t attach your name to your comments, then what kind of a cowardly person are you. Surely you would wish this woman well in her new role.
New fodder for wG Sydney to throw under the bus. Be careful.
