Jumbla’s client, CV Global, didn’t want a traditional Christmas story. It wanted a prodigal son, coming home, story. One about making peace – reconciliation. A Christian message delivered in a subtle, understated way. Classic, emotional, without being sentimental or cheesy.

Says Tim Doecke, marketing specialist, CV Global: “Christmas is a time of year when people enjoy reflecting and reuniting with family and friends.

“We wanted the film to have the nostalgic and feel-good atmosphere of the Christmas season. The guys at Jumbla have done such a great job at capturing the heart behind our vision for the clip and making it into a reality.”

There was to be no voice over – the illustrative style of the animation had to bring the viewer in and involve them in a story that would be easily relatable lead them to the pertinent take-away. “Come Home. Make Peace”.

Jumbla executive creative director Callan Woolcock took this one on himself as lead animator, working with illustrator James Manton.

Apart from composing the music and soundscape, Jumbla’s in-house sound engineer Sean Crowley even sang on the track.
