Mumbles_icon_1x.jpgAs part of an ongoing campaign aimed at highlighting the everyday family moments that have the biggest impact on our lives, ‘Mumbles’ is hosted by Rebel and Chantelle; two parenting bloggers who tackle some of the tougher issues facing families today in Bupa and Kids Helpline’s new podcast developed by Hardhat, that’s big on sharing.

Each episode features a real story from a real mum, kicking off themes around school anxiety, social media addiction and ADHD. Rebel and Chantelle are also joined by Leo, a counselling supervisor from Kid’s Helpline, who lends his expertise and sage wisdom to each subject.

Says Jane Power, chief marketing and customer officer, Bupa: “We know from our work with Kids Helpline and speaking with our customers, that families want to be connected to resources that provide practical tips and trusted information on supporting mental health and wellbeing.”

The round-table discussions feature a down-to-earth approach and a warm, supportive atmosphere resonating from the fantastic chemistry between longtime friends Rebel and Chantelle. For the hosts it’s about sharing the parenting experience warts and all, finding positivity where you can and celebrating the triumphs – big or small.

There are times when the parenting journey can feel quite isolating, but if you’re going through something, chances are there’s a parent who has done it before. The Mumbles podcast aspires to create this community of our shared experiences.

Francesca Meijer, marketing manager at Bupa, talks about how important families are to the business’ goals: “‘Care’ is core to our proposition at Bupa and supporting parents and other caregivers to raise emotionally well, resilient and happy kids is something we endeavour to do through many of our initiatives. These podcasts are designed to help parents deal with some of the more challenging times and provide strategies to help them connect with their kids through conversation.”

Says Dan Monheit, strategy director, Hardhat: “The growing popularity of podcasts has given us an amazing opportunity to bring Bupa’s expertise in health and care to people in a new way. The issues tackled on the show are significant, the conversations are real, and the advice is second to none. We’re so proud to have been involved in bringing this to life.”

New episodes are added weekly.
