EMEA CEO Chris Paxton is moving internally to sister agency Hotwire Communications taking up the position of chief strategy officer at the start of February and will build the strategic communication capabilities for the PR and Communications agency. Both Hotwire and the Leading Edge are owned by the Enero Group.

Isobel Smyth, managing partner, will take the lead for the EMEA region and will report directly into O’Sullivan.

O’Sullivan joined The Leading Edge in September 2018 from Ipsos Marketing in Sydney where she was managing director.

Says Matt Melhuish, CEO, Enero: “Gillian has worked in research and brand management for more than 20 years, most recently as managing director at Ipsos Marketing, but she has also worked at AMR, Nielsen, and Roy Morgan. She will continue to bring dynamism and enthusiasm to The Leading Edge across the APAC region and around the world.

“We are also very happy to be able to offer new and exciting opportunities for our leaders across the agencies and the world.”

Says O’Sullivan: “This is a fantastic time for The Leading Edge; we are doing more global work than ever. Our fast growth over the last three years is a reflection of the superb team we have, and the quality of their thinking.

“We’re looking forward to continue working with Chris on our shared clients with Hotwire and I’m excited to be working with Isobel to realise our potential in EMEA.”
