VMLY&R Sydney appoints Katie Dally and Miles Scott to the roles of joint managing partners
VMLY&R Sydney has bolstered its leadership capabilities as it brings to life the merger of VML and Y&R announced last year.
As part of the move, Katie Dally and Miles Scott have both been elevated to joint managing partners of the Sydney office, to lead its day to day operations and further drive integration, with a key focus on staff engagement and exceptional client service. Both Dally and Scott will be reporting to joint CEOs Aden Hepburn and Pete Bosilkovski, who are also based in the Sydney office.
Says Hepburn and Bosilkovski: “Katie and Miles have proven themselves to be exceptional leaders with complementary skillsets. Their focus will be to nurture and grow our amazing people and to be outstanding partners to our clients, bringing them world class capability. We couldn’t be more thrilled for Katie and Miles. They will play a key role as we bring our exciting new offering to market.”
Says Dally: “Miles and I are looking forward to helping shape the VMLY&R business in Sydney. Our focus will be helping to bring texture to our connected brands offering, whilst continuing to build world-class capabilities across all facets of our business – creative, strategy, client service, technology, CX, data and product and service design. People and culture will also continue to be the cornerstone of everything we do.”
As part of the enhanced leadership, Dave Di Veroli has also been promoted to head of strategy and innovation. With the agency since 2013, Di Veroli was most recently strategy director for VML and brings an extensive amount of digital and integrated strategy experience to key clients and the wider offering.
The appointments follow a host of recent new business wins including the highly prestigious Australian Defence Force Recruiting (DFR) creative and digital account which VMLY&R won following a detailed evaluation process. Other current VMLY&R Sydney clients include McDonald’s, Netflix, Google, Pfizer, Colgate, Lion, NSW Government, Petbarn and Bridgestone among others.

Also doesn’t the term partner in a business imply a level of actual ownership
Yes. This muddying of the term is really tedious for those with skin in the game.
Why not just call them the GADs they really are.

Yes, they deserve to be congratulated but the first two comments are true. Small agencies used to be able to run with one MD, now they need two CEOs and two Managing Partners. The new model isn’t sustainable.
VMLY&R Sydney has heaps of clients and like 150+ staff. not exactly small
Fair point, it’s technically a medium-sized company not small. It’s still overkill to have 2 CEOs and 2 Managing Partners.
