This International Women’s Day #LeadingLadies presented by Agency Iceberg is partnering with Isobar in an industry-first morning panel event and conversation around how to achieve true diversity and inclusion (D&I) in the workplace.

The event will be held on Friday 8 March 2019, 7:30am to 9:30am at Isobar, 111 Cecil St, South Melbourne.

Limited tickets are available here.

Founder of recruitment firm Agency Iceberg and the #LeadingLadies series, Anna O’Dea, said the theme for this years’ event – #BalanceforBetter – is a business and cultural priority for O’Dea and her clients.

Says O’Dea: “We’re proud to partner with Isobar to address bridging the gap and smashing the glass ceiling, not just for women, but across gender identities, culture, age and ability inclusivity in all workplaces.

“It’s a privilege to have such strong talent on our panel and champions of diversity, including Alexandra Smith, group general manager PR, Crown Resorts and Enya Cai, Oceania diversity and inclusion coordinator at EY, alongside Cinnamon Pollard, CX and digital transformation lead at WorkSafeVictoria and Erik Hallander, national MD at Isobar to lead the important discussion.”

Julia Birks, strategic design lead and training specialist at Isobar Melbourne, said the event on International Women’s Day provides an opportunity to engage a wider audience on the importance of creating a diverse and human place to work.

Says Birks: “At Isobar, we’ve introduced standardised benchmarking to promote fairness and transparency around how we reward our people. This also helps to reduce the impact of unconscious bias, which is one step towards addressing the divide.

“Our guest panelists from Crown, WorkSafeVictoria and EY will shine a light on what organisations are doing from both a private and public perspective to address #BalanceforBetter in the workplace.”

In supporting the theme of #BalanceforBetter, all ticket proceeds are going to The Good Samaritan Inn, who support women, children, and young people who are homeless, in crisis and experiencing family violence.

A light breakfast and refreshments will be provided by STREAT Catering, an organisation offering disadvantaged youth, aged 16-25 years, a supported pathway from the street to a sustainable livelihood.
