Ogilvy Singapore narrowly displace Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore off top spot in the Campaign Brief Asia Agency Creative Rankings

CBA_CreativeRankingsCover.jpgLast year Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore held off a resurgent Ogilvy & Mather Singapore to top the Campaign Brief Asia Creative Rankings. This year however O&M Singapore was able to catch and overhaul their traditional rival by the small margin of just 81 points.

O&M Singapore sits top - and as such earn the title of Campaign Brief Asia's Regional Agency of the Year - with 2245 ranking points. Ogilvy Singapore is second with 2164 ranking points.

However O&M Singapore's reign at the top of Creative Rankings may be short lived as Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore actually outpointed O&M Singapore over the past 12 months at 2008's award shows. Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore scored 907 points in 2008 compared to 672 for O&M Singapore. But as Campaign Brief Asia predicted last year, O&M Singapore's amazing 1573 points amassed in 2007 proved decisive in their overall position this year.

187 individual agencies are ranked in the Campaign Brief Asia Creative Rankings. The rankings are based solely on performances over the past two year period. Creative awards won more than two years ago are not counted in the tables.

This year's Top 6 ranked agencies are listed here:
  • 1. Ogilvy & Mather Singapore
  • 2. Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore
  • 3. Hakuhodo Tokyo
  • 4. Dentsu Inc Tokyo
  • 5. Saatchi & Saatchi Malaysia
  • 6. JWT Singapore
The big improvers over last year in the Campaign Brief Asia Creative Rankings were Saatchi & Saatchi Malaysia, Hakuhodo Tokyo, Lowe Bangkok, Leo Burnett Mumbai, Leo Burnett/ARC Malaysia, Projector Tokyo, O&M Shanghai, TBWA Shanghai and TBWA Singapore.

Hakuhodo Tokyo moves up from No8 to third. Dentsu Tokyo remains at No4. Saatchi & Saatchi Malaysia jumps up to No5 from No12, and JWT Singapore remains at No6.
