Chen and Tou return to Euro RSCG Beijing

James and Doze.jpgEuro RSCG have reappointed James Chen (left) as Managing Director and Doze Tou as Executive Creative Director of Euro RSCG Beijing. The move marks the return of one of Euro RSCG Beijing's most successful leadership duos, as together Chen and Tou oversaw much of the agency's strong growth in the early-to-mid 2000s. The announcement follows the return of Euro RSCG veteran Mason Lin as CEO of Greater China. Tou and Chen will report to Lin.
Commenting on the appointments, Lin said, "James and Doze have the rare ability to drive strong new business growth while building long-lasting relationships with clients. Beijing is an important market with strong potential, and together we share ambitious aspirations for our operations there. I'm confident that James and Doze will help us pursue opportunities there, and I am excited to be welcoming them back."

Chen previously spent seven years at Euro RSCG Beijing from 1998-2005, where he quickly rose through the ranks from Account Director to General Manager to Managing Director. As GM and MD, he oversaw the growth of the agency from around 50 staff in 2000 to over 200 people in 2005, winning sizeable new business including Master Kong Bakery, Peugeot, Cisco and Agricultural Bank of China. Most recently he was the Vice President and Managing Director of Shunya Advertising.

Tou joined Euro RSCG Partnership in Taiwan in 1990, moving to Euro RSCG Beijing in 1996. In Beijing he helped grow the creative department from a copywriter, designer and Creative Director to over 100 specialized creatives across advertising, marketing services, interaction and healthcare. His most recent position was Executive Creative Director of Ogilvy Auto (Ogilvy's automobile team), serving clients such as FAW Volkswagen and Haima, and prior to this he was the ECD at Shunya Advertising.

The announcements are effective immediately. The news follows former MD, Tammy Sheu, and ECD, Jordan Hsueh, leaving the agency. Both Sheu and Hsueh resigned earlier this year for personal reasons.
