The Samurai Game offers an intense challenge of self-mastery for Agency Heads in the region

image002.gifInvented by the prolific human potential author and martial artist George Leonard, The Samurai Game® is a unique and arguably one of the most intense learning experiences that senior leaders can participate in.

Set to run on 10th - 12th February 2011 at Philea Resort, Melaka, The Samurai Game® will be conducted by Lance Giroux and Shahnaz Karim, Director and Trainer of 95%, who is also Malaysia's first certified facilitator for the training.

When Shahnaz Karim found The Samurai Game® he immediately recognized its value and signed up for the official facilitator certification programme in California.

Upon completing the training, Shahnaz said, "The learnings were profound yet very private. No one knows what the others are going through. The outcome is different for each individual as everyone would be at a different level of self-awareness. The best way I can put it down in words is that The Samurai Game is almost like a 'Test of Character' where you peel away your external skills and behaviours to discover the core essence of who you are, and the outcome is an understanding of The Bushido Code and how it will bring fulfillment in life as well as business."

The Game was invented in 1977 by George Leonard, author of numerous books including Mastery, The Ultimate Athlete, Walking on the Edge of the World, and The Way of Aikido: Life Lessons from an American Sensei. More info can be read at

"We are targeting Heads of Agencies as these people are highly skilled leaders who have overcome all kinds of challenges personally and professionally. They've achieved success and have nothing more to prove to the outside world. So what's next for them?" asks Janet Lee, also Director and Trainer of 95%. "At this level, you never stop learning. As we become more self-actualised, we realize there is no end to our capacity to experience, learn and grow. However, there are very few programmes that fulfill this need. This is where The Samurai Game® comes in. As we set out to transform the industry, we should perhaps start by reinventing ourselves."

This is a great experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who is considering participating. Shahnaz is correct in saying the learnings are profound yet very private. It is unlike anything you have done before and it stays with you.
