JWT's Elvis Chau makes Fast Company's '100 Most Creative People in Business' list
Fast Company's annual creative list, will appear on the print edition on newsstands on May 22.
"This is a truly noteworthy accolade. Fast Company has selected Elvis as
not just one of the most creative people in the world's ad industry -
but one of world's most creative people, full stop," said Michael
Maedel, President, JWT Asia Pacific. "I'm incredibly proud of Elvis. He
is both an inspiration and a key mentor to young creatives across JWT's
entire Asian network."
Elvis helped bring home numerous awards in the last year for a range of projects, including JWT Shanghai's highly-lauded "Heaven and Hell" ad for Samsonite, "Skate Wash Denim" for M Jeans, and Anta Shoebox Installation. "Heaven and Hell", which won China's first- ever Cannes Grand Prix last year, went on to become the most awarded print ad in the world, according to the Gunn Report.
"This is a huge honour - and it's an honour belonging to the entire team in JWT Shanghai," said Chau. "I am so lucky to be surrounded by so many talented people."
The editors of Fast Company hand pick key individuals from a wide spectrum of industries for this prestigious, annual list.
"To be recognized by your own industry is already a big deal. To be among the 100 Most Creative People from all different kinds of businesses is just a great recognition. I have to thank Elvis personally for putting advertising, as well as China, onto the world map of creativity," said Lo Sheung Yan, North East Asia Executive Creative Director and Chairman of JWT China.
