Lorenzo Bresciani.jpgDDB Group Melbourne today announces the appointment of Lorenzo Bresciani to the position of head of planning.

Bresciani joins the agency following his resignation from TBWA, where he’s held the same position over the past 12 months.

His appointment marks a return to the DDB family, having worked as planning director at DDB London, during an extended period abroad. In this time he was also head of planning at Lowe London and global strategy director at Goodby Silverstein San Francisco.

Bresciani began his career in strategic consulting, spending eight years with Accenture, before moving into advertising with GPY&R.

His client experience includes VW, Budweiser, NAB, AFL, plus global planning responsibility for ANZ, Hewlett Packard, Stella Artois, Becks and a number of Unilever brands.

Says Ian Forth, DDB Melbourne executive planning director: “Having worked with Lorenzo at DDB in London, I’m delighted that we’ve got the man we wanted. It’s no coincidence that wherever he’s travelled in the world, he’s worked with the best agencies or consultants and he will no doubt take our strategic offering to the next level. And he’s a top bloke too.”

Says Andrew Little, DDB Melbourne Group managing director: “We’ve had Lorenzo in our sights for some time and we knew he was the person for us. We are absolutely delighted to have recruited someone of his calibre into the business. He’s an exceptional planner with truly world class credentials.”

Says Bresciani, “DDB Melbourne is a fantastic agency and it’s great to be back in this brilliant network. I’m very excited to be joining the team and helping build upon the agency’s success.”
