Duignan has directed TVC campaigns for Mastercard, Cadbury, NRMA and Frucor to name a few with his work being recognised at Ad Awards globally.

Duignan’s experience embraces traditional TVC, short film and TV most recently, helming episodes of the comedy noir TV series, ‘The Blue Rose’ in New Zealand, after his previous successes with Kiwi TV series, ‘Go Girls’ and ‘The Cult’.

Duignan gained a masters in directing from AFTRS after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. Perhaps this varied education gives him the unique feel to his work.

His commercial work has been recognised globally and his recent short film ‘Ten Thousand Days’ recently premiered at the NZ Film Festival.

He has a funny, humanist and evocative style of work, and displays a natural sense of comedic timing and mastery in physical comedy. Strong visuals and casting drive his work.

The Otto Empire is thrilled to have him join their roster and his addition to the family only further cements the strength of representing varied and multi-skilled creative talent who understand not only the craft of story telling, but the changing world of communication.

An environment where all creative work is fostered and encouraged is what attracted Duignan to The Otto Empire and EP and founder Jo de Fina’s supportive and fun working ethos.
