Mike Rosenstein from Ben Stiller’s Red Hour Films added to the growing list of speakers at the Emergence Creative Festival, to be held next month in the Margaret River wine and surf region

rosenstein.jpgEmergence Creative Festival together with ScreenWest are pleased to announce special guest speaker Mike Rosenstein who joins an impressive line-up national and international speakers for the event which runs from 20-22 February 2013 in Margaret River. Rosenstein (left) is the Director of Digital Content at Red Hour Digital, a subsidiary of Ben Stiller’s Red Hour Films.

 

A comedy producer based out of Hollywood, California, Rosenstein has collaborated with actor/director/writer/producer Ben Stiller and producer Stuart Cornfeld for the past 7 years at their production company Red Hour (Zoolander, Dodgeball, Tropic Thunder, Starsky & Hutch, Tenacious D, 30 Minutes Or Less, Megamind, Submarine, and the upcoming The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty).

Rosenstein has created a digital production arm of Red Hour and oversees a first look deal for new media projects at Paramount’s Insurge Pictures with an eye to create and distribute low budget and high quality digital comedy projects worldwide.

 

Red Hour continues to develop creative, comedic and high quality digital series, TV Shows, and films with top talent as well as up and coming directors, writers, and comedians. Red Hour has produced several successful digital series including “Stiller & Meara” (currently on Hulu.com), and “Burning Love” (BurningLove.com) which is currently in it’s 3rd season and can be seen on E! Australia. Rosenstein is also in production on a “Zoolander” animated digital series with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, as well as a bunch of other projects.

 

Other keynote speakers for the Emergence Creative Festival include Bill Tai: leading venture capitalist and ‘kiteboarding king’ of Silicon Valley, Shane RJ Walter: creative director, co-founder and CEO of onedotzero, a London based ‘digital creativity initiative’, Agnello Dias: co-founder of Taproot Media Mumbai, one of India’s hottest independent agencies and Richard Bullock: director at HungryMan Films, Canadian Broadcaster and Media Pioneer, Moses Znaimer who has founded two-dozen popular Canadian television channels and stations, and Lars Rasmussen, Facebook’s Director of Engineering and co-founder of Google Maps. Also joining the conference program will be Young Sohn, Chief Strategy Officer of Samsung Electronics; Othman Laraki, Vice President of Growth at Twitter; Adam Ferrier, Founding Partner of Naked Communications; and Kristen Vang, Co- Founder and Director of Strategy at Hatchd.

Areas of discussion will include The Digital Debate, Mapping Social Behaviour, Campaigns and the Mobile Space and Startups: The Journey of the Idea.
