Condon has resigned his role as managing director after ten years with DDB Melbourne to focus on other business interests.

Says Condon: “I started my career at DDB Melbourne and it’s now ten years since I returned to the agency. It’s been wonderful to be part this brilliant company and I’m grateful for all the opportunities that have been afforded to me during my time with the business. I’m going to miss being part of the DDB family immensely, but I’ve decided it’s now time to focus on my business interests outside of advertising and spend more time with my family.”

Says Andrew Little, DDB Australia managing director: “It is with a mixture of both excitement and sadness that we farewell Nick. He has always worked with passion and commitment and I’ll miss him as a friend and faithful colleague.

“DDB Melbourne has certainly defied industry trends over the past decade and had a very strong and consistent team – so we look forward to welcoming the new wave of management under the strong leadership of Lorenzo Bresciani.”

Bresciani (left) joined the agency in June 2012 as the head of planning. Bresciani began his career in strategic consulting, spending eight years with Accenture, before moving into advertising with GPY&R. From GPY&R he held strategy and planning roles at international and local agencies including BMP DDB in London, Goodby, Silverstein and Partners in the US, Lowe and Partners in London and Whybin TBWA.

Says Little: “Making the choice to appoint Lorenzo was an easy one. We’re delighted to have promoted someone of his calibre into the role. He’s an exceptional operator and has a great balance between strategy and creative. He already has a strong vision for the agency – based on his extensive international experience.”

Says Darren Spiller, DDB Melbourne’s executive creative director: “Lorenzo and I started at DDB Melbourne on the same day and we have forged a very strong relationship built on open communication and mutual respect. We’ve both worked in the US and have similar ideas on how things should work. He always maintains objectivity and holds a room with intellect over bravado.”

Bresciani is thrilled to accept the role, stating that “a combination of business and strategic rigour will provide the foundation for powerful creative ideas.”

Another star performer, Oliver Lynch, is also being promoted to general manager DDB New Zealand commencing mid-May. Lynch has made a significant contribution to the Melbourne Office and his clients in his role as managing partner. Lisa D’Amico will replace Lynch in the role of managing partner DDB Melbourne.

Says Little: “Lisa has over 20 years marketing experience and has been instrumental in the growth of the Telstra business in Melbourne and I am thrilled to be able to promote her to the senior executive team. Lisa is an outstanding modern business leader and her experience of both agency and client life gives her great perspective and I look forward to working closely with her on the future direction of the agency.”

All of the Melbourne appointments are effective immediately.
