CB caught up with John Mescall, executive creative director of McCann Australia, who is celebrating the all-time record haul of Cannes Grand Prix and Gold Lions, with a lot more to come tonight.
So far Metro Trains ‘Dumb Ways to Die’ has won three Grand Prix (Radio, PR and Direct) and 14 Gold Lions with big chances tonight for Integrated, Film and Branded Content.

He’s never played the game, just done his own thing, and now he’s reaping the rewards without ever having to sell out.
If Dumb Ways to Die wasn’t cock-blocking every single category this year, the other work would seem even more impressive: V-line guilt trips and Impossible Orchestra are world class ideas.
