Cahill founded creative collective Manual in 2009, and has worked in a variety of digital capacities since then. This year Cahill was selected as one of Australian Creative’s “Power Top 20” and is regarded by his peers as someone who “navigates the interstitial space between traditional and new media production”.

Says Wilf Sweetland, managing director of The Sweet Shop Australia: “With increasing demand from agencies for us to be partnering as co-creators across many advertising platforms, we are thrilled that someone of Fergus’ calibre has joined us to lead this area of our business.”

Says Paul Prince, CEO/founding partner: “As the world evolves The Sweet shop evolves with it. Fergus is the perfect man to head up The Sweet Shop’s expanded offering in this evolving media landscape. Watch this space.”

Cahill is enjoying his new role.

Says Cahill: “I have always had a longstanding admiration for The Sweet Shop brand and I am looking forward to working with the already outstanding team to diversify and enhance new and current offerings.”

Since the inception of The Sweet Shop, the core belief has always been that as co-creators ideas are and always will be the most important aspect in any production. With Cahill joining, The Sweet Shop will delve further into new digital and non-traditional spaces assisted by both UK based sister company The Rumpus Room and local partners.
