ADC93-Banner-745x530-A-blue.jpgADC, the first global creative collective of its kind, has announced the opening of its 2014 Awards Season, including the 93rd Annual Awards and the Tomorrow Awards Call for Entries.

The ADC Annual Awards and the Tomorrow Awards are complementary, but separate, sister shows that proudly support the mission of ADC Global to connect, provoke and elevate creative professionals in visual communications worldwide. This year, both programs will run simultaneously with winners being announced during the Festival of Art and Craft in Advertising and Design in Miami Beach.

The campaign for the 93rd Annual Awards was created by Razorfish and reads “Ideas get you noticed, Craft gets you recognized.” The message emphasizes ADC’s dedication  to the art and craft in advertising and design, thinking retrospectively about their importance to creativity. The campaign will be highlighted across digital and print leading up to the Festival of Art and Craft in Advertising and Design on April 7-9, 2014.

Says Ignacio Oreamuno, ADC executive director: “The ADC Annual Awards was the first of its kind to seek and recognize unique expertise in advertising, and we have now recommitted to our roots: the art and craft of the creative industries. Our award shows, and the 2014 Festival where we will reveal the winners, reward creatives for their dedication and commitment to innovative and meticulously crafted work.”

This year the 93rd Annual Awards has refined its categories, removing some that are no longer current and adding others including Corporate and Personal Self-promotion, Mobile Games, Magazine/Newspaper Editorial, Video Games, Greeting Card Design and Children’s Book Design. There are also new subcategories in Digital Design, Photography and Illustration, as well as expanded interactive categories. The 93rd Annual Awards has also added a special freelance entry fee for the photography and illustration categories.
