Crain Communications president and Ad Age editor-in-chief Rance Crain set to moderate executive jury at the 2014 New York Festivals

Rance Crain Headshot March 2013 Smaller.jpgNew York Festivals World’s Best Advertising has announced that Rance Crain will serve as moderator for New York Festivals 2014 executive jury’s live judging sessions in New York City April 25-30th.

As executive jury moderator, Crain will guide the proceedings of the world’s largest gathering of worldwide chief creative officers ever to judge an advertising competition.

Crain, president and editorial director of Crain Communications Inc, is one of business journalism’s most accomplished executives. Crain is editor-in-chief of Advertising Age, Crain’s Chicago Business, and Crain’s New York Business as well as many other publications, and he founded four of the company’s influential titles–Pensions & Investments, Crain’s Chicago Business, Crain’s New York Business and Electronic Media (now published as tvweek.com). Crain has been inducted into The American Advertising Federation Advertising Hall of Fame, and the Direct Marketing Hall of Fame.

As jury moderator, Crain will lead the executive jury, a “dream team” of 30 elite worldwide chief creative officers and executive creative directors, through 5 intense days of judging. This creative brain trust will sit together on one panel and evaluate the shortlisted entries selected by 400 members on the New York Festivals online grand jury, using NYF’s revolutionary patent pending matrix scoring system to select the World’s Best Advertising award-winners across all mediums and categories. The combination of the executive jury and grand jury is the largest advertising jury ever assembled.

 

The 2014 New York Show events will take place on May 1st and will feature creative panel discussions, keynote speakers, networking events, the awards ceremony, and an after-party to honor the winners. All New York Show events will be held at the world famous New York Public Library’s Beaux-Arts landmark Stephen A. Schwarzman building located at 455 Fifth Avenue in New York City.
