The Sydney-based agency has extensive experience in tourism and destination marketing and was successful in its tender bid for the Taiwan Tourism Bureau promotions account.

Zoo’s responsibilities for the campaign include industry representation, advertising, cooperative marketing activities, trade, media and special interest group famils, tradeshows, events and ongoing management of the Taiwan Tourism brand across Australia and New Zealand.

Zoo Advertising is an agency network with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra and will commence work on the Taiwan Tourism Bureau campaign this month.

Says Simon Cubbin, Zoo managing director: “There is a tremendous opportunity for a broad range of Australians and New Zealanders to explore the beauty and elegance of Taiwan and discover the many delights that the country has to offer travellers.

“It’s an exciting prospect to be able to market the untapped wonders of Taiwan to Australian and New Zealand travellers and we aim to develop a strategic campaign to position Taiwan meaningfully against competing destinations.”

Taiwan has a stunning and diverse landscape and was voted as one of the world’s best cycling routes by CNN Travel. Taiwan has also hosted Asia’s Surfing Championships for the last few years.

Zoo has previously developed strategies and campaigns for The Cook Islands, Vietnam, Korea and various regions throughout Australia.

Cubbin will lead an experienced team of professionals that include Glennis Clifton, Julie Matthews and Margarita Ognjanovic.

Says Cubbin: “The team at the Taiwan Tourism Bureau has shown great vision by setting out goals and implementing various ways in which to achieve success and we are thrilled at the prospect of turning their strong vision into clear results.”
