MATT-FOLLOWS.jpgCB Exclusive – Clemenger BBDO, Sydney has further bolstered its creative department with the appointment of Matt Follows as a creative director.

A recent arrival to Sydney, Follows has worked at some of the best agencies in the world, including Wieden + Kennedy in London, Amsterdam and the States. During that time he wrote advertising campaigns for the likes of Nike, British Airways, Honda, Heineken, Coca-Cola and EA Games, winning many of the industry’s most coveted awards including Gold at Cannes for BA and a D&AD Pencil for Nike’s London Run.

Says Clemenger BBDO Sydney executive creative director Paul Nagy: “Matt is a phenomenal talent with an easygoing nature – which belies the fact he qualified as a Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming and graduated as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist from King’s College, London with First Class Honours… which basically means he can read your mind I think. He’s already made an impact on the work, the culture and the bar fridge, and with a team of creative leaders that now includes Matt, Rebecca Carrasco, Luke Chess and James Theophane… it’s a very exciting and inspiring place to be right now.”

Says Follows of his new role: “I’m incredibly excited to be at Clems Sydney. The buzz, the people, and the drive to stamp its name on the global map reminds me of the early days at W+K London. The desire to do game changing creative work is what got me into advertising in the first place, and there’s definitely no shortage of people at Clems and within Foxtel, who want that too.”
