AdFest announces the first round of finalists for 2017; Australia scores 64 shortlisted entries

PocketPatrol_lifesaver_Highres (1)-thumb-400x188-237956.jpgThe first round of finalists have just been released for AdFest 2017, namely in Design, Effective, Film Craft, Film, Interactive, Media, Mobile, New Director, Outdoor, Press, Print Craft and Radio.

Australia has scored 64 finalists led by Leo Burnett Sydney with 12 finalists, then McCann Melbourne with 11 and production company Finch with 9.

In the Design Lotus category McCann Melbourne and Leo Burnett Sydney received one finalist each.

McCann Melbourne was the only Australian agency shortlisted in the Effective Lotus category.

Finch Sydney led the Film Craft Lotus category with eight finalists followed by Exit Sydney and Alt.VFX with four finalists each, The Sweetshop Sydney with three and Heckler and Photoplay both scored one finalist each.

In the Film Lotus category Leo Burnett Melbourne and J. Walter Thompson Sydney scored two finalists and Leo Burnett Sydney, Finch Sydney BMF Sydney and Photoplay Sydney scored one apiece.

The Interactive Lotus category saw Australia collect five finalists led by Leo Burnett Melbourne with two shortlisted entries and McCann Melbourne, Leo Burnett Sydney and Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney with one each.

McCann Melbourne led the Aussie agency pack in the Media Lotus category with five finalists followed by Leo Burnett Sydney with three, Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney with two and Havas Worldwide Australia and Leo Burnett with one.

Leo Burnett Sydney scored three finalists in the Mobile Lotus category and Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney scored one.

Finallist640x500-01.jpgThe POOL COLLECTIVE scored Australia’s only finalist in the New Director Lotus shortlist.

In the Outdoor Lotus shortlist McCann Melbourne scored two and Leo Burnett Melbourne, Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney, BWM Dentsu and Havas Worldwide Australia scored one finalist apiece.

Leo Burnett Sydney was the only Aussie agency to reach finalist status in the Print Craft Lotus category with three shortlists.

McCann Melbourne scored one finalist in the Radio Lotus category.

Australia did not receive any finalists in the Press Lotus category.
