YouTube launches its special edition Cannes YouTube Ads Leaderboard ahead of Cannes Lions
With Cannes Lions 2017 on the horizon, YouTube has today released its special edition Cannes YouTube Ads Leaderboard celebrating the most popular global video ads since last year’s festival. These ads represent 11.8 million hours watched for the whole Leaderboard.
The top ads include:
Heart-warming messages: These ads tug at our heartstrings, with Knorr, Hyundai, and Budweiser leading the charge.
Star Power: Many of this year’s ads featured star wattage including John Cena for Cricket Wireless, Jennifer Hudson and various artists for Shell, Ronaldo and various superstars for Nike and Melissa McCarthy for Kia.
Continued success: Three of the Leaderboard winners were repeat winners from 2016, with continued digital success from Hyundai, Samsung, and Clash of Clans.
New faces: An increasing number of brands are creating compelling digital videos. New entrants to the Cannes special Leaderboard include Knorr, Shell, Purple, Cricket Wireless, Budweiser and Kia.
Extending the Big Game: Three Super Bowl spots — from Hyundai, Kia and Budweiser, show how YouTube helps brands stir excitement before, during and after the Big Game.
