International Trade Mission in Hong Kong set to showcase best of Victorian design community

The Hong Kong Business of Design Week (BODW), Asia’s premier annual event on design, innovation and brands is set to take place in December 2018.

Held across five days between 3 and 8 December 2018, Asia’s flagship architecture and design event will feature a stellar program of more than 70 leading design speakers, conferences, forums and exhibitions, and will host 130,000 delegates from more than 30 countries.

Through Creative Victoria, the Victorian Government has exclusively selected fifty small and large businesses, as well as Victorian educational institutions to be part of the mission to showcase Victoria’s best creative designers.

BODW will also provide opportunities for Victorian companies in this mission to gain exposure to the opportunities of Asian markets and building relationships in Hong Kong, China and beyond.

Amongst carefully selected businesses as well as Victorian educational institutions, Mo Works Creative Agency will be among the pioneers in the creative and emerging tech space attending the event to explore business opportunities, exchange ideas and network.

Trade mission participants will also gain access to potential buyers, stockists, partners, clients and media representatives from across the globe, whilst gaining valuable exposure to Asia.

Victoria’s design sector contributes more than $5 billion to the local economy, including $400 million in international tradings.

Victorian minister for creative industries, Martin Foley, said: “From globally recognised success stories to our rising new design talents, Victoria has so much to be proud of and this program represents our largest ever design-focused international trade mission.

“This is an incredible platform to showcase Melbourne’s design strengths to an audience of potential collaborators and trade partners and we are proud to be backing our designers to take on the world.”
