Big coup for Clems. I had the great fortune of working with Mike when he freelanced at our place last year. He’s an enormous talent and top bloke to boot.
Onya Spiro.

So good to see nice guys succeeding. Well done.
Welcome aboard guys – really good news getting Nagy back home, and Mike on board. We could do with double trouble to turn this place around. We’re all excited!
Well back mate.
Shake that kiwi accent now 😉
congrats mike..awesome news…clems are lucky to have you on board !!!!
Mike O’Sullivan, Richard Maddocks, this continues the tradition of Clemenger bringing top NZ talent to their Australian offices.
Spirkovski is without a doubt, one of the funniest and most innovative people I have ever worked with, with cajones of steel when it comes to his work. We met while at Burnett on the first Earth Hour when Michael’s partner was the magnificent Grant McAloon. I spent some of my happiest days with these two nutjobs, particularly at Cannes, when they picked up the Titanium and several other awards the same week. A week where Michael saw the inside on Cannes General Hospital 5 minutes after arriving – first night excitement,…. Macedonian stylee. Clemenger have done a clever thing getting Spiko on board – he is a joy to work with and a great friend. Please send him to London on some sort of assignment – I miss him. J
“We’ve been mates for years”. Says it all.
More Peaches & Herb…. Yeeha!

Spirko – industry genius…
if they win two bits of business, and win a couple of awards, they’ll already have outshone their predecessor.
What a bitchy, shit thing to say. Rich is a top CD.
Welcome Back Nags — JW
rich & rookie turned the agency around 1.46, in many ways.
you obviously didn’t work at clems, or if you did, didn’t create any of the award winning work they helped produce.
tosser.
ex clems creative.
That’s how many CDs in the past decade? Don’t know these guys, but try to keep them for more that 5 minutes.
1:46, if they win two bits of business, they’ll have done more than Rich??
Off the top of my head, under Maddocks, they’ve won Vodafone, CareerOne, Toshiba, Bupa…
And probably a few smaller ones we don’t know about.
Stupid comment.
Get your shit together before you whinge, wine and bitch
1.46 you low life. Maddocks is a ‘REAL’ creative genius. Have a look at all the stuff he’s personally written and then CD’d. His Apple Mac Cinema ad is still one of the best ads ever written out of this region. If he never got to do better it’s because of all the shitty shareholders and the big fucknob at the head of that company. Be warned new guys, it ain’t going to be easy. I can only hope that James McGrath (now that he’s national CD) an help get it sorted out for you otherwise you’re in for a nightmare. If a seasoned, highly intelligent, genius creative mind like Maddocks can’t do it it’s going to be very tough for you guys.
I sincerely mean it when I say this, good luck fellas you’re great blokes and you deserve to do well.
Where is Maddocks and Rookie these days? What’s the noo’s?
Great guys, great creatives and I think they shut a lot of critics up about not being able to do ‘real work’.
Theres more dictating an agencies creative output than the creative director, anyone in advertising would know that.
Well said, 8.01. Richard Maddocks is an amazing creative, an incredible CD, and just generally one of the most courageous and inspirational people I’ve ever known. He’s going to be greatly missed.
