New creative talent to join Saatchi & Saatchi NZ

Anne Boothroyd, ex Colenso BBDO andClemenger BBDO, joins as creative group head on July 7, Scott Huebscher(Top right) from Saatchi & Saatchi LA takes up the role of digitalcreative director on June 16, while Steve Andersen (bottom right) andDave Reid (bottom left) from Aim Proximity join the fold on June 14.

 

Saatchi& Saatchi CEO Nicky Bell said the appointments reflect the agency’sfocus on big ideas across all media. Says Bell: “They bring newdimensions of digital and social media capability to the talent wealready have at the agency.”

During her time at Clemenger Wellington and Colenso in Auckland, AnneBoothroyd has done some spectacular work on accounts such as YellowPages, Vodafone, Air New Zealand, New Zealand Book Council, New ZealandTransport Agency, Frucor beverages and Mars.

 

Says ECD DylanHarrison: “Anne is one of the best creatives around, with threenominations to her name at this year’s D&AD alone. She writes moreirresistible participative ideas before lunch than most agencies do ina whole year and still makes it look easy. Quite simply, while otherstalk, she walks the walk. I can’t wait for her to rip into the creativeopportunities in the department.”

 

Huebscher bring extensiveexperience working on Toyota’s interactive efforts at Saatchi &Saatchi LA. Prior to that, he was at jUXT Interactive, RPA and Bates,where he worked on a range of clients including Coca-Cola, BoostMobile, FuseTV, Honda, Pioneer and Hyundai.

 

“Scott has beendriving some of the most innovative interactive creative in theSaatchi’s network globally, so we’re delighted to have him on board inNew Zealand. We share the belief the only place for a Digital CreativeDirector is in the heart of the creative department, working with medianeutral teams across the entire customer journey. Andersonand Reid have spent the last couple of years at Aim Proximity inAuckland working on Vodafone, The Warehouse, TVNZ, Air New Zealand andYellow Pages. Prior to that, they were at Saatchi & SaatchiJohannesburg working on Peugeot, Sony Ericsson, Pampers, Olay, Guinnessand Diageo.
