Hope you're not counting those two craft Golds Mr Lynch. Animation and sound awards should be credited to the animator and sound designer like they are in every other award show on the planet. The fact that Colenso are sticking their name on it is a little shameless. And the fact that Stop Press and Campaign Brief is letting them is pretty sad too.
Then you could say the same for a lot of the print from Asia. No idea and crafted by the illustrators - do they get put down as the art director on the award?
Cannes rules do allow an agency to enter their work in craft categories...
But really, how can you claim a lion for sound design?
Sounds like someone at DDB is a little pissed that Colenso beat them. Let's give credit where it's due. Colenso had a phenomenal year, DDB had a great year too.
And it's awesome how well we did as a small country.
