DDB NZ’s Toby Talbot to lead newly created DDB Group regional executive creative council

Screen shot 2010-09-21 at 2.28.12 AM.pngDDBNew Zealand executive creative director Toby Talbot has been namedhead of the newly created DDB Group regional executive creativecouncil, which aims to drive the new agency positioning of ‘socialcreativity’ for the DDB Group in the Asia Pacific region..

DDB aims to “develop ideas that people want to play with, participatein, and pass on. Ideas that connect people with people, not just withbrands.”

Says Talbot: “We all like and respect one another and we all want thesame thing – to be the most influential creative network in AsiaPacific. My role is simply to keep the foot firmly to the floor.”

“Over the past few years we have put greater focus and investment intoour creative product, and this has been recognised with theinternational and regional awards we have been winning across Asia andPacific,” said John Zeigler, chairman and CEO of DDB Group Asia-Pacific.

“However, we also realise that to continue our winning streak we needto consider how, as a network, we can learn from each other to gaingreater notoriety.”

DDB Group Asia-Pacific includes DDB, digital agency Tribal DDB, Rappand DDB Health with 20 offices in 14 countries across the region.
