AWARD Awards: Film & Video finalists released
The AWARD Awards finalists in the Film & Video category have just been released.
Saatchi & Saatchi, Sydney leads the agency pack with 11 finalists, followed by Mojo Sydney and Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne with five apiece and Merrkats, Perth with four.
Erik Vervroegen from Goodby, Silverstein Partners in San Francisco is leading the jury, while the Film & Video category is chaired by Duncan Marshall from Droga5 (pictured).
Ninety judges are in the process of selecting the 2011 finalists from the 2000+ entries.
Finalists in the Print, Poster, Outdoor & Ambient, Radio, Digital, Design, Creative Innovation & Integrated categories will be announced during the coming two weeks.
The Awards presentation event will take place on Friday 25 February at CarriageWorks, in Sydney – the culmination of The Communications Council’s Festival of Commercial Creativity ‘Circus’ from February 23-25.

That always happens at award, which is one of many reasons why it is devoid of any credibility outside a small club of Australians. Struth maaaate.
Just announce all the finalists instead of trickling it out so that no-one remembers or gives a shit.
