Adfest Film Craft Lotus: Four out of the five Golds awarded to Australasian production companies

Four of the five Golds handed out on the night went to Australasia: Gold was awarded to Steve Ayson from The Sweet Shop, Auckland for NZ Lotteries ‘Lucky Dog’ via DDB New Zealand in the Directing category, Gold went to Nathan Price at Capital City Films in the Directing (campaign) category for Sky TV ‘Leaf Blower’, ‘Ride on Mower’ via DDB New Zealand, Gold was awarded to The Feds, Sydney for Optus ‘FIFA World Cup Secret Training Camp’ via M&C Saatchi Sydney in the Special Effects category and Gold went to singer Ben Lee for his music on the WWF ‘Space Monkey’ spot via Leo Burnett Sydney.

13 Silvers were awarded and 12 Bronze.

Silver went to Mike Maguire at The Directors Bureau in the Directing (campaign) category for Bundaberg Rum ‘Favourable Lie’, ‘Apology’, ‘Apology, Apology’ via Leo Burnett Sydney; Silver was awarded to Liquid Studios, Auckland for DB Export ‘The Untold Story’ via Colenso BBDO Auckland in the Production Design category; and Silver went to Innocean Worldwide Sydney for Kia Stortage ‘Grow up, not old’ in the Best Use of Music Track category.

Bronze was awarded to Steve Rogers at Revolver for WWF ‘Space Monkey’ via Leo Burnett Sydney in the Directing category, Bronze went to FG Entertainment for Weet-Bix ‘Star Players’ in the Special effects category, Bronze went to The Sweet Shop Auckland for NZ Lotteries Commission ‘Lucky Dog’ via DDB New Zealand; and Bronze was awarded to Cutting Edge Brisbane for Boss ‘Alien Jones – History of Humankind’.

Guide dog5.JPGIn the New Director Lotus, Paola Morabito from Curious won Silver for the Guide Dogs Appeal ‘Interviews’. Only one Gold and one Silver was awarded.

In the Design Lotus Awards also handed out on the night, DDB Melbourne scored Bronze for Morning Fresh ‘Dirty Dishes – cup/plate/bowl’; Clemenger BBDO Melbourne won Bronze for Support Scent; Block Branding Perth won Bronze for Revive ‘2011ish Calendar’. Best of Design was awarded to Masashi & Qanta & Saqoosha & Hiraki, Tokyo for Utsushi Kagami (Mirror).

In the Print Craft Awards JWT Melbourne won Silver for Anti Whaling ‘Stop the Slaughter’ in the Illustration (campaign) category; DDB Melbourne won Bronze for Original Juice Black Label Range in the Best Use of Illustration (campaign) category; and photographer Simon Harsent won Bronze for the Earth Hour campaign in the Photography (campaign) category.
