Postmodern hires hot flame artist Marek Vlach – announces Chris Breeze as animation director

mo_week2.jpgLeading post production- and VFX-house Postmodern has strengthened their VFX line-up, with award-winning Flame artist Marek Vlach (pictured left) joining fresh from seven years of creative excellence with Prague powerhouse Studio Mirage. 

Marek’s work has traversed the globe, with credits including the likes of ‘Orion’, ‘T-Mobile’, ‘Nescafe’, ‘Skoda’ and ‘Coca-Cola’.  His film credits include Nikita Mikhalkov’s ‘Burned by the Sun 2’ as well as ‘Smart Philip’, ‘Crazy Race’ and ‘Bathory’.

Says Postmodern EP Stephen Douglas: “We’re chuffed to have someone ofMarek Vlach’s calibre join the VFX team, and it’s a great advantagethat he has extensive on-set supervision experience.  I think right nowwe have a real kick-arse team at Postmodern.”

looneyCHEESE.jpgThe appointment of Vlach also coincides with the promotion of ChrisBreeze (pictured left) to Animation Director.  Chris is highly regarded in the3D-animation world, having risen to the top of the New Zealand shortfilm industry as a graphic designer and advertising art director beforebecoming a founding member of the UK’s infamous BBC Character Shop,animating characters for numerous commercials and TV shows.  His filmcredits include ‘Death Defying Acts’, ‘Daybreakers’ and even comping ashot for ‘Australia’ (…who didn’t!)
