Neil French to chair this year’s AdStars Festival in Korea – entries are FREE and close June 15th

Neil French.jpgThis year’s Ad Stars Festival will be held from August 25 to 27 for three days at Busan Haewoondae Grand Hotel and the Heawoondae area of Busan in Korea.

Advertising industry maestro Neil French is the chair of the jury. Also a number of world-renowned creative directors will be invited as judges.

Ad Stars 2011 is the world’s first convergence advertising festival that integrates online and offline participation based on an online system that allows entries anytime from anywhere and operates an open platform in which advertising professionals can share information. In addition, via social media and smartphone applications, it opens participation to 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

In addition, Young Stars Ad Competition, Beach Ad Night and a number of related seminars will be held simultaneously through the festival period.

Ad Stars, which aims to secure prestige as an international advertising festival earning worldwide attention, is Korea’s only festival of its kind. Applicants for AD STARS have grown every year; 3,105 works from 29 countries in the first year, 3,258 works from 38 countries in the second, and 5,437 works from 41 countries last year. The organizer set the target of 6,000 works from 45 countries this year.

Professor Hwan-jin Choi, co-chairpersons of the executive committee of Ad Stars, said, “By clearly establishing its position as an international advertising festival, Ad Stars 2011 has the goal of ranking among the world’s top three advertising festivals in the next five years.
