Delegates will convene at the stunning Chateau Elan, a new luxury 5-star resort located on The Vintage golf course.

In announcing the 2011 venue today, the Caxton Committee also confirmed the initial line-up of speakers who will share their wisdom and insights with delegates at this year’s event: David Nobay, (above left) creative chairman, Droga5, Australia; director of Ipsos Mackay, social researcher Dr Rebecca Huntley; Mat Baxter, CEO of UM Australia and Ant Keogh (above right), executive creative director at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne.

Says Rob Belgiovane, Caxton committee chairman: “This year’s Caxtons is already shaping up as an unmissable event not only for the advertising and marketing community but for anyone in the field of creative thinking.

The Caxtons always provides delegates with access to the brightest, most talented people in our industry, and this year will be no exception. We’re very excited to be announcing our first four guest speakers, with further announcements coming soon.”

After an international career spanning London, Hong Kong and San Francisco, David Nobay (or “Nobby”, as he’s better known) launched his own agency, Wells Nobay McDowall in Melbourne at just 27, and led it to become one of the most awarded integrated agencies of the 90’s in Australia.

Under Nobby’s creative stewardship, the office was ranked Agency of the Year for an unprecedented three years in a row. In 2007, Nobby was invited by David Droga to launch Droga5, Sydney. The office opened its doors officially in 2008, and was named “Agency of the Year” by B&T Magazine in 2009. In 2010, he was included in Ad Age’s Top 50 Creative individuals worldwide.
