Talbot will come back to New Zealand during his secondment to work on a number of key projects and will return to DDB NZ fulltime in 2013.

Over the next four months, before his secondment begins, a new creative management structure is being developed by Talbot to lead the department, and he will also continue to work with the new team throughout 2012.

From January Talbot will spend the majority of his time with DDB Europe as part of his long term development, working on global campaigns for clients such as VW and McDonald’s, as well as completing the world’s only creative MBA at the University of Berlin.

“Toby is one of DDB’s creative stars and people are our most valuable asset,” said Marty O’Halloran, chairman, DDB Australia/New Zealand. “Which is why we are pleased to invest in his future by sponsoring his MBA and his time with DDB’s European network. When Toby returns to DDB NZ the experience he gained during his secondment will make him even more of a force to be reckoned with.”

“Only a great agency would allow me to take a once in a lifetime opportunity like this,” said Talbot. “Anyone that knows me knows New Zealand is my adopted home and I look forward to my European secondment but I can’t wait to return to New Zealand in 2013.”
