Spikes Asia shortlists announced for integrated, film craft and print & poster craft with Revolver Sydney leading the film pack with 10

spikes day 3.jpgThe Spikes Asia Advertising Festival has today announced the final three shortlists from this year’s awards.

96 entries have been shortlisted in the Integrated, Film Craft and Print & Poster Craft categories: 

8 in Integrated (2 from Australia – Grey Melbourne & Leo Burnett Sydney and 2 from DDB NZ)

41 in Film Craft  (23 from Australia including 10 from Revolver Sydney and 6 from New Zealand including 3 from The Sweet Shop)

47 in Print & Poster Craft (2 from Leo Burnett, Sydney).

The winners will be announced at tonight’s Awards Ceremonies.

A further 11 seminars are taking place throughout the day including Grey Group Asia Pacific who are talking to the internationally acclaimed Chef Bobby Chin, Hakuhodo, Draftfcb and thenetworkone who will present The Asian Independents Showcase 2011.

Earlier sessions enjoyed by attendees included Campaign Asia Pacific’s interview with John Wren, President and CEO of Omnicom.     

Two dedicated academies have been taking place throughout the Festival; The Spikes Academy offers 15 students from the region a unique educational programme tailored to the needs of its students whilst the new Marketers Academy offers a targeted learning programme aimed at marketers and brand managers aged 30 years and under.

Both academies have also benefitted from full access to the Festival and their learning achievements will be recognised later today at dedicated graduation ceremonies.  

The Spikes Asia winners will be announced and honoured at the Awards Ceremony this evening, after which delegates will have the opportunity to celebrate at the Afterparty taking place at the IndoChine Waterfront where a special performance will take place from Rudely Interrupted, Australia’s most celebrated rock band which sees five out of its six members living with disabilities.
