The deal gives Clemenger Group the majority stake in the business, while TOUCH/CAST retains a significant share.

Clemenger Group CEO, Jim Moser says: “We saw TOUCH/CAST as an ideal opportunity to further invest in New Zealand and grow our presence in Wellington in particular. The team at TOUCH/CAST have a strong track record for providing award winning and effective digital solutions to clients. We’re looking forward to working alongside them, pooling our resources and developing an even stronger digital communications offering.”

Says Andrew Hawley, managing director and creative director at TOUCH/CAST: “We share similar ideals and complementary skills so the deal made great sense. Being able to tap into the extensive knowledge and tools available through the Clemenger network will enable us to provide our clients with increased value and strengthen our offering in both the Wellington and Auckland markets. It’s an exciting step forward for the TOUCH/CAST team.”

TOUCH/CAST was co-founded by Hawley in 2004. Since then the agency has won awards at the Caples (New York, global), Cannes (France, global), RSVP Awards (New Zealand), CAANZ Media Awards (New Zealand), Best Design Awards (New Zealand) and Clio Awards (Global). They have worked with clients such as Fly Buys, New Zealand Post, Chorus, Telecom, Contact Energy, Wellington Tourism, Constellation Wines, Education New Zealand, Weta, and Holding Pictures.
