It pays to pronounce responsibly

A man doesn’t pronounce responsibly when asking a Genie for a wish, and doesn’t get quite what he wants.
A new spot from Neil Dawson and Clive Pickering out of BETC London.

The dialogue was totally unnecessary…
Look everyone! Someone threw money at a dick joke!
the gag is about 40 years old
execution from a similar age
lame

Still maybe me chuckle. Thanks.
Old joke. New Strategy. I like it.
Far too sophisticated for the down under audience.
Brilliant!
Gonna order one next time.
Witty and works!
Didn’t even have to watch it to get the (extremely old and not very funny) gag.
When you think about it, that’s two dick jokes.
@Matt
Gag on a 12 inch pianist.
Dick joke aside, it’s a good ad.
I extend my thumb.

Off to the Gulag with you.
Here’s a thought.
This spot is pretty old school, but did anyone pissing and moaning about how old-school it is actually take a second to look at what it’s advertising?
It’s advertising fucking Port, ok? And do you know who drinks Port? Yes that’s right: old-school dudes, like your dad.
So yeah. I suppose they could’ve got Kuntz and done something that a junior creative team would personally enjoy.
But that would’ve been fucking stupid.
Tip: If you want to survive in advertising, you need to realise that not every brief you work on will be targeting people just like you.
It doesn’t matter if it’s an old joke if it’s relevant and works.
This is very relevant to the product and it works.
