Dave 1.jpgWhybin\TBWA\Tequila, Sydney has hired Dave Brady as creative group head from DDB New Zealand where he was creative director on Cadbury and head of art.

Brady has over fifteen years in the industry under his belt. After ten years in London, he has spent the last few years in New Zealand at DRAFTFCB and DDB. He has been awarded internationally at Cannes, The One Show, London International and the Spikes. He was also behind all four of DDB’s golds at Axis this year and has work in the Musée de la Publicité National Poster Collections in Paris.

Says Brady: “I’ve had a fantastic time in New Zealand. I’m lucky enough to have been surrounded by some seriously humbling talent. The willingness to make things happen, the passion for craft and drive for innovation I’ve experienced in New Zealand has been totally inspiring.

“I’m incredibly excited about the move to Whybins. Matty & Dave have a really refreshing approach to the business. They’re driven and very smart. They also have at their disposal an agency full of formidable talent. It’s going to be fun.”

Says DDB New Zealand ECD Toby Talbot: “Dave Brady is one of those rare things. A thoroughly nice chap paired with real talent. Dave is the consummate art director. He is also an accomplished illustrator too, although I’m not sure he’ll like that put about for fear of Matty and Dave getting him to do their storyboards for them. Dave has been a big part of DDB these last few years and I’m really happy to see that he’s not going backwards by joining an agency with the potential of TBWA. I wish him all the best.”

Says Dave Bowman, joint ECD at Whybin\TBWA\Tequila, Sydney: “He’s only been here a few days and already I’m feeling both threatened and overwhelmed by his talent, which means he’s certainly going to fit in.”
