Advertising art buyer new owner of Auckland photographers agency The Collective Force

Jason Jones, former Creative Services Manager for one of New Zealand’s most successful advertising agencies, and more recently Head of Integrated Production at a local Indie agency, has recently acquired The Collective Force, New Zealand’s first photographers agency.

He takes over the helm from Christina Force, who set up the company in 1996 after arriving in New Zealand from the London ad industry. Building it into an international go-to agency, Force introduced local photographers to Asia and the USA, bringing countless global campaigns to New Zealand’s shores.

More recently, Force decided to go solo and move into consulting to photographers. Says Force: “When Jason approached me about buying The Collective Force it was perfect timing as my folio consulting practice was taking off. I’m so happy to see the brand live on – and Jason has the perfect experience, passion and energy to take the brand further.”

Over the years Jones has predominantly been art buying, helping creative execute award winning campaigns on time and on budget. Responsible for commissioning the most suitable photographer for each concept saw him exposed to our best talent, creatively and photographically.

Adds Jones: “The Collective Force is a well-known brand and offers me a platform to re-build what I hope to be the country’s most successful photographic agency. Christina has such a depth of knowledge retaining her as a consultant made perfect sense.”

Jones says he is currently in discussion with a number of photographers and is carefully researching “the best of the best.

“I am looking forward to announcing the first photographers to join The Collective Force stable. In the meantime we’re working with a number of talented independent photographers and can provide the perfect solution to your next photographic project.”
